My 5 month old olde english bulldog hurt his leg jumping out of the car 2 days ago, he was limping, but he's getting better i think.
He's walking around a lot in the morning and is putting a lot more weight on the leg every day but now he's sleeping all day, which is very unusual for him , he's a very hyper dog.
Should I be worried?
Hi Zach
I'd strongly suggest that you get your pup checked out by your vet as his behavior has changed since the accident.
Bulldogs are a heavy breed and he could have done more damage to his leg than you think. The fact that he's using it more is a good sign, but any injury that causes symptoms for more than an hour or so needs to be evaluated by a professional.
Pups of this type of breed can put a lot of strain on rapidly growing muscles, joints and ligaments. If an injury happens it's important to get it fixed up properly to prevent ongoing issues as the pup matures.
I wish you the best of luck with that adorable puppy and hope he's doing much better soon.
