Maltepoo puppies

I have 3 week old maltepoo puppies and they are nursing only.

When do I introduce puppy food?

The momma dog will usually begin to wean her puppies naturally. She'll won't allow them to nurse for so long, or as often. Sometimes she'll even regurgitate some of her meals as 'starter food' for her puppies.

That's when you begin to introduce some puppy food. Soak the food in warm water for about 10 - 15 minutes so that it is easier for them to eat. You can also offer them some water to lap.

They'll be a bit messy at first but will sooon 'get the hang of it'.
