Bringing Puppy Home

Missing my boys

by Kelly
(Bagram, Afghanistan)

With so many cute puppies on here I don't know how you could just pick just one. Puppies are all special and the stories bring back memories.

Anyways, I'm not going to tell you why my puppy should be your winner but I will tell you a little about my winner.

This is Avery a 5 month old AKC Yorkshire Terrier and this picture was taken after we went to the vet on a Saturday afternoon. This was a special day because we found out that our little man gained a 1/2 lb which brought him to a healthy 2.3 lbs.

That might not sound like a great feat but at nearly 6 months he is small for his age and this called for a celebration.

Now a little about this special puppy. After I deployed to Afghanistan he has managed to keep his daddy very good company. From what I hear Avery and daddy do everything together. I have pictures of them watching tv together, playing outside (with big dogs), going to the beach, and most importantly telling me stories from back home.

These little "Avery tales" bring so much joy to my heart and smiles that are contagious. I miss my boys so much but I know I will be with them soon.

Thank you for reading my quite long story and please enjoy every moment with your little winner.
