It sounds as though your pups may have tiny hernias which do look like a small protruding 'knot' or lump. These occur where the umbilical cord was attached on their bellies, and it's fairly common. If several of your pups have them then there could be a genetic component.

Normally these aren't a big deal, and can be easily fixed if necessary by a vet. However, I'd recommend that you have your vet take a look to make sure that these knots are hernias, and he/she can then advise you.
