my 3 yr old toy chihuahua will not let me cut his toenails? why

why won't my dog let me clip his toenails and how can i get him to let me without biting me.

Most pups and dogs don't like their feet being touched, and this can make nail-cutting a bit of a problem!

It's best to get your pup familiar with having his nails cut, feet touched, etc. when young, that way you avoid this sort of issue later on.

The only thing to do at this point is to have someone help you if you want to cut his nails yourself, or take him to a dog-groomer or veterinarian who will do it for you.

If he bites hard, or gets aggressive about it you may want to try a soft muzzle on him just for that task.
