My 6 day old puppy does not seem to have an open anus and cant poop

My 6 day old puppy does not seem to have an open anus and can't poop.

I've tried to rub the tummy like the mom would.

The anus looks like it's shut closed...

If the anus is deformed and not opening properly then this puppy needs urgent veterinary help because he/she will die without it.

It's possible that your pup is constipated and that's why he isn't pooping and there's actually not a real problem with his anus. However, again only a veterinarian can really tell for sure.

Either way, he needs to be seen by a vet immediately as he needs help, so please get him examined asap.

What you could do get a wash cloth or a rag wet it with warm water, make it damp,then every 15 -20minutes wipe her butthole in a upward motion to let the puppy know its ok to poop. You might have to do this for a week or until it goes on its ownz The mother dogs usually lick the puppies butt when they have to use bathroom so they learn to recognize when they need to go! I used this technique on my puppy and it worked! I hope it can help you too!Good Luck!
