my 7 week old chihuahua is not breathing well at all what is wrong?

My 7 week old chihuahua is not breathing well. She is acting as though she can't get enough air. she also is no longer wanting to drink her mother's milk either and she is panting her breath smells funny. not a normal puppy breath.

I am so worried she is dying. could she have a cold? Her nose is wet and she has no fever. She is not crying she want to be close to me a lot. Please help me...

You need to have your pup examined by a veterinarian immediately I'm afraid. There is obviously something wrong and she's staying right beside you because she's scared and feeling ill.

I doubt that she has a cold, but she could have another of the contagious dog illnesses that puppies are vulnerable to.

Chihuahuas are tiny dogs, and it's also possible that she's hurt or injured herself in some way, or has ingested something she shouldn't have. Either way, she needs to be examined by a veterinarian asap.

That way you will be able to find out what is making her so upset and get her the treatment she needs. I wish you the best of luck with her and hope that she makes a full recovery soon.
