We got Prednisone from the vet and immediately started seeing the swelling go down, her limping stopped and boy did she come alive. she's is a pretty feisty little pup and she's back. thanks for the support.

I am so glad you wrote back. It sounds exactly what Zoe may have. Her lymph nodes just did start to swell and she's limping on her front leg, same side the nodes are largest on. i think since we started her on the clindamicin its starting to help. i read more about pyoderma and it looks like she'll need some prednisolone in addition to what she's taking. I hope this is what it is. I noticed most of the sites said this could be a genetic thing & suggested not breeding. Do you know if this is true? This is one of the reasons we got a purebred Chihuahua. I would love to have babies but i'm okay with it either way. I'm calling the vet tomorrow & suggesting this & i hope that is the cure. will let you know.
