My dogs bottom lips have 2 holes in them from her top canines.

My bulldog pup is 4 months old and I was looking in her mouth, at her teeth growing in and I saw that her bottom lips have tiny holes in them from her canines.

Her lips curve in towards her mouth and cover some bottom teeth. It doesn't seem to bother her but it's shocking.

I want to know if this is normal and what I need to do for her.

Hi Amanda
I'd recommend having your veterinarian examine your puppy's mouth and decide what (if anything) needs to be done.

Breeds such as English Bulldogs have very fore-shortened faces and sometimes it's extreme and causes this sort of physical problem.

I'm sure that your vet will be able to give you some advice about this and personally I would imagine he will do something as it's likely to get worse as her teeth come in, rather than better.

Although it doesn't seem to be bothering her it probably is at least uncomfortable so do get it looked at.

Best of luck, hope she is doing fine soon.
