My King Charles dog seems to be short of breath sometimes?

I have a King charles dog and he is just over a year old.

He sometimes gets short of breath for no reason, for example, after his bath it seemed as if he had a fit.

It has happened twice now and it lasted for about one minute. He is very well looked after and has a good diet.
Thanks :)

Hi Lisa
This is something you really need to discuss with your own veterinarian as I'm not a vet and don't have the professional experience to diagnose what is going on with your dog.

From what you say it sounds as though these breathing problems are being triggered by stress, and you need your veterinarian to make a diagnosis as to why they're happening.

It's not normal for a dog to get so upset that they have difficulty breathing, so it's absolutely something that should be checked out. Your vet can recommend treatment if any is needed, or at the very least explain why this is happening and how to handle it at the time.

I wish I could help more but this is one of those situations where a professional opinion is needed. Best of luck.
