My pitbull puppy has a bump on his head, HELP ME PLEASE.

At first i thought it was just a little insignificant bump obtained from bumping heads with my 2nd pitbull, but it keeps growing & it's not going away.

It also looks sort of red......and i'm extremely worried.

what could this be?!!

Hi
It's impossible for me to say for sure what this lump is, but it could be a simple sebaceous cyst, or an insect bite or injury that's become infected.

I wouldn't panic over this as long as your pup seems happy and healthy otherwise, but it definitely needs to be seen by your vet so that you can get an accurate diagnosis.

If it's some type of infection, then antibiotics will probably be needed. If it's a 'fatty' sebaceous cyst, or one that's filled with fluid, then your vet may either drain it or remove it, or he may just leave it and see if it disappears on it's own.

However, only a professional can make the diagnosis, so have your pup seen by your vet and take it from there.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you get this taken care of soon.
