my puppies shiver after feeding - weaning

i have a litter of staffy puppies they are 3 week old now and we have introduced some baby rice mixed with puppy milk, but after eating they shiver a little is this normal?

Often when very young puppies begin to be weaned they get VERY excited about the food, eat a lot more than they should and get it all over them!

This over-excitement can lead to them ending up a bit upset and sometimes they'll shiver or whine.
Luckily they get used to it pretty quickly and settle down.

As long as your puppies are otherwise healthy, happy and active and the shivering is very short lived with no lasting after effects, then I wouldn't worry about it too much. However, if they seem really upset, or they seem sick in any other way then I'd recommend having them examined by a vet to be on the safe side.
