My puppy has bumps that look like pimples on her chest?

I have a 2 week year old chihuahua that I am bottle feeding for this past week. I have noticed that her mother does want her around but does not clean her like her brothers.

As I was cleaning her I noticed she had bumps that look like pimples around her private area it looks like you could pop them.

It sounds as though your little pup could have a staph infection, that can produce tiny white 'pimples' as you describe.

It's likely because they tend to occur when puppies aren't kept in a clean, dry environment and get dirty. If her momma won't clean her and care for her properly this is similar.

I'd recommend using a weak antibacterial soap/water solution to clean her, and make sure to rinse the area and dry it well. Then a touch of antibacterial cream may help, but as it's around her genitals be careful not to cause irritation to that delicate skin.

If it doesn't clear up or gets worse, have your vet take a look as she may need antibiotics.. oh and don't try to 'pop' them that will likely CAUSE an infection!
