Puppies and dogs can be given fish oil food supplements for their skin and coat, so I doubt that it is cause for concern.

However, I would recommend checking with your vet just to be on the safe side. Depending on the size of your pup and the contents of the caplet, he may experience some tummy upsets etc. Your vet will be able to give you expert advice.
