my shih tzu puppies

i have a litter of shih tzus that are 5 weeks old an i had one that die yesterday started puking like a brownish color blood and whining an now one of the other ones have that same thing going - on what could this be?

These puppies need to be seen by a veterinarian right away. The brownish fluid could well be blood in the vomit and that indicates serious intestinal/digestive issues.

One of the contagious dog illnesses such as Canine Parvovirus is possible.

Young puppies like this have very little protection from viruses or bacteria, and as you've seen they can succumb very quickly and die. The correct diagnosis and treatment may be able to save the remaining puppies, but time is of the essence.

You need to get them veterinary attention right away. I wish you the best of luck and hope that these little ones make it through.
