neutering a pup

i have a 6 month old rottie and was wondering if i should let her go through one cycle before we neuter her?

Actually there are no proven benefits from allowing a female dog to experience a heat cycle prior to being spayed.

In fact, research has shown just the opposite to be true. Spaying a pup before her first season, ideally by 6 months of age, provides maximum protection from reproductive organ cancers and more.
