Newborn Puppy has feet bent backwards........

My Chihuahua is having puppies and the last born, so far, looks like her feet are bent backwards.

It looks like she would be walking on the top of her feet, will she grow out of it or will it stay like that?

It could be that her feet were forced into an unnatural position in the womb and that's why they appear this way. Or it could be a congenital deformity.

The only way to find out, and to see if they are likely to return to normal by themselves or whether they need treatment is to have this little puppy examined by your own veterinarian.

I'd recommend doing this as soon as possible so that if there is any treatment needed there's plenty of time to get it started.

I'm not a veterinarian myself so I'm afraid there really isn't anything else that I can suggest, but if this puppy is otherwise healthy and strong I would be hopeful that she will be able to walk normally when she's grown.

However, the problem may not resolve itself without some sort of help so do please have her evaluated by your vet as soon as you can.
