not eating or drinking

lethargic 8 year old pup , first started vomiting a week ago, then stop eating , was drinking water and gatorade but now refuses all... what is wrong?

I'm afraid it's impossible for me to say what's wrong with your dog as only a hands-on examination and evaluation by a veterinarian could hope to make an accurate diagnosis.

I strongly recommend that you get your dog to your vet just as soon as you possibly can because if he's refusing fluids then dehydration will set in quickly and this alone can cause serious problems, even organ failure or death.

If he's not up to date with vaccinations, it could be a canine illness or disease, or if he is routinely vaccinated it's possible that he's got an infection of some sort, or an internal problem, or parasites... the list goes on I'm afraid and I couldn't possibly diagnose the issue.

Please have your vet take a look at him right away so that you can get him the help he needs. I wish you the very best of luck and hope your dog is doing much better soon.
