What would be possible cause of white gums, rapid heart rate and lethargy in older akita husky?

It's impossible to say for sure what's going on with your dog, and I'm not a vet so can't give you a professional opinion.

However, the symptoms you describe could mean that your dog is having trouble with his heart. These signs could also indicate heatstroke, a severe parasitic infection and other possibilities. In older dogs there can be all sorts of problems but only a full exam by your vet can make an accurate diagnosis.
