We have a one month old pitbull, she's the runt we had to do cpr to save her.
i have noticed recently that when she urinates its in little amounts and frequently, when before it was a good amount a couple times a day, she is also bloated.
i also noticed today that she had what felt like a little strand of mardi gras beads under her ribs and up into her body under her leg, any ideas on what might be wrong or if we should worry?
Hi Lana
It sound as though your little girl may have a urinary tract infection. It's fairly common in puppies, especially female puppies, and the most obvious symptom is usually an urgent and frequent need to pee, sometimes with only a drop of urine being passed.
The little swellings you're noticing under her skin could be swollen lymph nodes, which would also indicate infection, most likely related to the UTI.
I strongly recommend that you get your puppy examined by your own veterinarian just as soon as possible. Little puppies can get very sick, very fast, and a urinary tract infection needs antibiotics to prevent it spreading and causing more serious problems.
Prompt treatment will help her recover quickly. Best of luck, hope she's feeling much better soon.
