I have two 4 month old boxer/pits that have survived the parvo virus.
I have noticed every since they have had parvo they have yellow mucus coming out of the corner of their eyes.
Do you have any clue to what this might be?
Hi
Yellow or green colored mucus or discharge usually indicates infection of some sort.
Canine Parvovirus is so serious, that puppies who are lucky enough to survive usually face several weeks of recovery time.
Their immune system is weak due to the illness, and they are more prone to infection than usual. It could be that this is the remnants of a secondary infection contracted while they had Parvo (very common), or they could have picked up something else. Either way I strongly advise you to have your vet examine them.
Chances are a round of antibiotics will clear this right up, but left untreated it could end up causing more serious problems, especially given their weakened state right now.
Your pups are obviously fighters and are strong, and the right treatment will help them recover faster and more fully. Best of luck.
