peeing

by Kay
(Ohio)

i have a male puppy and an adult girl dog and the puppy is 4 months old and it won't quit peeing on the floor.

We take it out and it still uses it on the floor what should i do??????????

Hi Kay
If it's potty training you're having difficulty with , I'd strongly suggest buying a crate and crate training your puppy.

It's the simplest and quickest way to potty train any pup or dog. You can find tons of free information, tips and advice on crate training on my Crate Training page.

If your puppy is peeing when excited, or scared, or meeting new people etc., then he's suffering from submissive urination which is actually quite common. This is a dogs natural way of showing respect to superiors, and is often outgrown as a puppy matures and becomes more confident.

Good luck!
