pit bull puppy

by kim
(fresno ca)

i have a 4week old american pit bull puppy.. he was walking fine. Today i notice that he now seems to be walking funny. he doesn't seem to have good control over his backlegs...

HI Kim
At 4 weeks old your pup should be steady on his feet, and if this is a new occurrence he needs to be examined by a vet so that you can find out why he's having difficulty.

There are all sort of reasons why pups can experience lameness, limping and so on. Anything from injury or too rapid growth, to congenital disease, nerve or neurological problems and more.

There's no way I can determine what is wrong I'm afraid, and it's important that your pup is seen by a vet so that you can get an accurate diagnosis. The more quickly a condition i (minor or major) is recognized, the more quickly it can be treated (if necessary) and overcome.

Best of luck with your pup, hope he's doing much better soon.
