pregnancy in dogs

My bitch is about 6 months old .last week a male dog jumped on her and then was pushed off by my foot. now i have noticed lack off eating and her vulva is risen up a little.

i might b paranoid but do you think she could be pregnant??

I think it's unlikely that your dog is pregnant, given that she was only mounted once for a few moments.

It would have to have been exactly the right, most fertile moment, but it is of course possible. However, the changes you mention could simply be caused by the hormones experienced during her heat cycle.

I would just monitor her and make sure no other dogs have a chance to mate with her. Spaying her would be the best option to prevent any unwanted puppies.
