puppies with colds

Hi my 2 week old puppies have colds and are a bit off there milk as i am hand feeding them, i was just wondering if there is anything i can do to help try clear there colds up ,they also sound a bit chesty an rattly.....

Dogs and puppies don't really get 'colds' as such, they can get upper respiratory tract infections which are similar though.

In puppies this young, they could have an infection like this, or they could possibly have inhaled some of the milk into their lungs (bottle fed pups do this sometimes) and that can cause congestion and the sort of cold-like symptoms you notice.

I'd strongly recommend that you have your vet take a look at these little ones as either of the above conditions can develop into pneumonia fairly easily and this can be very serious, even deadly in new born puppies.
