My Siberian Husky gave birth to her first litter she is 3 years old and this was a planned and supervised breeding and prenatal care.
She gave birth to the first puppy with no problem and no sooner that she was able to sever the umbilical cord with the placenta still inside she delivered her second puppy.
He has swollen back legs he moves around fine with them and does not show any pain but should I be worried, and will the swelling go away they are 3 days old now.
Hi Rose
Swollen legs in a puppy aren't normal and I'd definitely recommend that you get this little guy to your own veterinarian for a thorough check up, so that you can find out what's causing his problem.
The fact that he can move around okay and doesn't seem to be in pain is a good sign, but something is wrong and you need to find out what it is and whether it needs treatment.
Unfortunately I'm not a vet myself and have never seen this type of issue so I really can't help any more than this. Luckily your vet can, so discuss your worries with him.
I wish you lots of luck with this litter and hope your puppy makes a full recovery and that his legs return to normal soon.
