Puppy doesn't greet us anymore - is she sick?

Our 11 month old german shepherd finished her first heat approx 1 month ago and she has changed.

she has gone from jumping around and squeaking like a maniac when we arrive home to not even coming downstairs to greet us.

She squeaks when we go up and greet her but she no longer comes downstairs to find us, i wonder if she may be ill?

Any sudden change in behavior is cause for concern and could indicate that a puppy or dog is not feeling well.

If your girl is showing any other signs of illness such as loss of appetite, general lethargy, diarrhea or vomiting, or you just have a 'hunch' that she's sick, then it's important to get her to your veterinarian as soon as you can.

Having her first season is not likely to be the cause of her lack of energy or enthusiasm, but it's always best to get a professional opinion whenever you're worried.
