Puppy eating grass, vomiting and sleepy

What would cause my 8 month old Cavalier puppy to want to eat grass throughout the day, vomit several times and then only want to sleep?

All those symptoms are signs that she isn't feeling well, but I'm afraid it's impossible for me to tell what is making her feel that way. Many dog illnesses have vomiting and lethargy as symptoms.

It sounds as though she could have a digestive upset of some sort, but it could be bacterial/viral or just about anything else.

Perhaps she got into something she shouldn't and whatever she's eaten has made her feel ill. Or she could have caught an illness of some sort - less likely if she's had all her puppy shots. If you think she may have ingested something poisonous or toxic (see my Poisonous Foods and Dog Poisoning for more on this), have your vet examine her asap.

I'd recommend that you have your veterinarian take a look at her so that you can find out what is going on. It may be something minor and nothing to worry about, but it's always better to be safe than sorry, so have her checked out asap.
