puppy eating its own poo

Have just got a 10 week old puppy that keeps eating its own poo and then brings it up again.

I was told it has been wormed already. i don't know what would cause this.

Actually stool-eating (or 'coprophagia' to give it it's correct name) is a fairly common puppy habit, and although it's disgusting to us, to many pups it's quite normal!

However, it's not desirable and carries some significant health risks so you do need to discourage it. I'd recommend that you read my Why Does My Dog Eat Poop page as it has lots of tips and advice to help you deal with this.

Also, remember that puppies need regular rounds of puppy shots and that they should be treated for worms at the same time. One round of deworming is not enough.
