Puppy had sores on belly and vagina

Puppy had sores on belly, and with antibiotics, has cleared up, but she constantly has a "dirty" appearance to her vagina.

It's almost like dust around the whole vagina and some of her belly, but she isn't around dirt, what could this be?

It sounds as though your pup may have had a staph infection on her belly, this often also affects the genital area.

Although the antibiotics have cleared up the infection, it's possible that there is still skin that is sloughing off, or her skin could be discolored from the staph. Sometimes skin becomes darker or splotchy after this sort of problem.

It's impossible for me to tell I'm afraid, but I recommend that you have a vet check her out if you're concerned. Chances are this is a temporary result of the infection itself, but only a hands-on veterinary exam can give you a definitive answer.
