puppy has lost her energy

My 8 week old puppy doesn't play like she used to.

She just lays all the time, she eats a little and drinks good, but not sure when she pooped last, any advice?

Loss of energy, or lethargy, in a puppy is often one of the earliest signs of a number of dog illnesses.

BUT at such a young age I'm assuming that you have just brought your puppy home within the last few days, and so this behavior could just be due to the stress of this big move. You can find out more about this on my Bringing Home A New Puppy page.

However, if you've had this pup for more than a few days and this is new behavior for her, then I'd definitely have her checked out by your veterinarian just as soon as possible. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
