Puppy makes strange breathing noise when I pick her up

I cannot tell if she is struggling to breathe or what but when I pick her up I hear a strange forced noise like wheezing. She doesn't have it any other time.

Also I am not sure if this is normal or not, her belly is pretty round but also very hard. I just want to know if something is wrong and what to do.

The heavy breathing may just be because she gets anxious when you hold her, or perhaps you are holding her too tightly?

The round tummy is pretty normal in young puppies, but if it's very big in comparison to the rest of her body and is hard, it could be that she has worms. All puppies have puppy worms and need to be regularly dewormed by your vet.

If she hasn't seen your vet yet I strongly recommend that you have your pup examined to make sure she is perfectly healthy.
