Hi,
I've had my puppy for a week and has not gained weight why?

she is 8 weeks today.

A puppy of this age should be gaining weight every week, so if your pup isn't growing then there may be an underlying health problem.

Often a pup gets stressed when moving to their new home and lose their appetite (see more about what to expect during the early days here.. Bringing Home A New Puppy. If this is extreme and the puppy isn't eating for days, then it's possible that it could explain a failure to gain weight, but it would be unusual.

I strongly advise you to have your pup examined by your own vet just as soon as possible so that you can make sure she is healthy.
