puppy seems to have a cold

my 8 week old puppy has green discharge coming out of his nose and keeps sneezing. when he's sleeping, you can hear how congested he his.

we can't take him to the vet until tuesday, and i was just wondering if there was anything we could do to help flush it out.

From what you describe, I think your pup has an upper respiratory tract infection, and that can be very serious if left untreated. Often resulting in pneumonia.

He most likely needs antibiotics and he will probably also need a decongestant, but never give a pup any over the counter or human medications unless they've been recommended by your vet. Your pup needs to be seen by your vet right away so that he can get the medication he needs.

Meantime make sure he gets plenty of water as this helps to keep the mucus thinned out, but only your vet can give him the medications he needs so get him there asap.
