Why does my 5 month old pitbull shake during sleep, eyes roll back?

Most likely your pup is just in a deep sleep and is dreaming. Many dogs whine, twitch, shake, 'run' or even bark in their sleep and it's usually nothing to worry about.

As long as their behavior is perfectly normal when they're awake I personally wouldn't be too concerned about this.

Of course, if your pup seems to be sick in any way, shakes/twitches or has balance/motor problems when awake, then a visit to the veterinarian is a must.

Even if you're not seeing any other symptoms during the day but you're concerned, talk to your vet. It's always best to get a professional opinion if you're worried about your pets' health in any way.
