puppy sores

i have 1 week old pit bull puppies and some have sores under their chins and on their feet, what are they?

I can't be sure what these are I'm afraid. I don't know whether it's a rash or some kind, inflammation, infection etc.

If the skin is red and inflamed, there may be some infection which will need to be treated with antibiotics. This would be unusual in such young puppies, but is possible if they're sleeping on damp material, sucking excessively on each other (sometimes happens if the momma doesn't have enough milk, or it's a big litter and the pups are hungry) etc.

Pitbulls can suffer from a skin condition called mange, caused by tiny mites, and it's possible that this is what's causing the red 'sores', especially if they seem to be itchy. This also needs diagnosis and treatment from your vet.

Very young puppies can get sick quickly, and I would strongly recommend that you have your veterinarian take a look at your puppies. That way he can figure out what's going on and start any treatment if necessary.
