puppy with swollen stomach

puppie 4 weeks old has swollen stomach not able to go to the bathroom what can i do?

i have no money right now and need help

Hi
There are a few reasons for your puppy's stomach being swollen like this - one is that he has a worm infestation, the second is that he's constipated, and the third is that he has an internal blockage of some sort.

The first two are generally not life-threatening in the short term, but the third is extremely serious. If your pup seems happy and active apart from his swollen tummy, then hopefully it is one of the simpler issues.

Puppy worms are very common and you will need to get a de-wormer from your vet to treat it. A constipated puppy is also fairly common, and there are several simple measure you can take to help.

However, if your puppy seems lethargic, in pain, isn't eating or drinking or seems sick in any way he needs to be seen by a veterinarian IMMEDIATELY as he could be in serious trouble.

Best of luck, I hope he's doing much better soon.

Please help - We have similar issue.

Our female Pekingese of 1 year is closest to symptom 3.
A couple weeks ago her stool became bloody and soon enough she had worms. We have been very broke so this last saturday (6 days ago) we took her to a humane society where they gave all three of our dogs a pill that would get rid of the 3 most common worms. They administered the correct dosage for her weight of 12lbs. The other two dogs have been fine, but since then she has been getting worse.
She became very lethargic and started throwing up. She did this for almost two days. We even tried giving her homemade chicken and rice - and threw that up as well.
We hate seeing our baby suffer and finally took her to our regular vet yesterday. She was injected with some anti-vomitting injection and fluids because she was heavily dehydrated. The fluids made like a water sac on the side of her body that had reduced but is still hanging there.
We have been administering plain pediyalite, about 5cc every 40mins or so.
What concerns me is that since then, she has still been throwing up almost all liquid, just clear - with a few whole kibbles. Her stomach has been swelling up so bad that it is like solid hard to the touch.
At this point we don't know what to do. We dished out almost $200 bucks yesterday and now the vet is gone for the day.

Please help us if you can.

I'm sorry for babble so much, but I figured the more information I gave the better anyone can help.
❤Thanks :)
