I have noticed on a few occasions that my 8 month old staffordshire bull terrier dogs mouth will tremble and the other day he was foaming for a bit too it only lasts for about two or three minutes and i have noticed it on three occasions in the last month or so.
Hi Ryan
I'm afraid this is a question for a vet, as it's not something I've got any personal experience with and I really can't say what's causing the problem.
If there are other muscles/areas involved when this happens, I would think it's possible that your pup is showing some early and mild signs of epilepsy. But there are many other possibilities.
Is it possible that he's getting into something he shouldn't and that's causing irritation to his mouth. Maybe trash, or cleaning products, or plants that are irritants?
Where we live here in the US, toads cause this sort of reaction and my Staffy 'tasted a toad' and paid the price a few times. She just didn't seem to learn!
I would strongly recommend that you have your vet check out your pup though so that you can rule out any underlying health issues.
I wish you the best of luck and hope that she's doing much better soon.
