I just got a five week old pekingese puppy and previously he had flea's. We got rid of that. And while he had that flea he would shake his head and vomit, at the same time very frantically. He is still doing the same thing at night.
i have been changing his diet a little from solid food to straight replaced milk formula but i didn't think this would happen.
What is wrong with him I'm worried because he is so little and soo cute?
Hi Bria
Your puppy is very young (in fact way too young to have left his momma) and it's impossible to say what is causing him to throw up, fleas don't normally have that effect, although over-the-counter flea medication could though and I don't ever recommend using those.
A change in diet can also cause digestive upsets such as puppy diarrhea and vomiting, as can dog illnesses and more.
He's too old for replacement milk and I'd recommend checking out my New Born Puppies, Puppy Development and Puppy Kibble pages for help and advice on feeding this little guy. A premium puppy food soaked in warm water should be just fine and he can drink water.
I strongly recommend that you take him to your veterinarian for a thorough check up too, it's very important to make sure he's not got any underlying health issues and is up to date on all his puppy shots, deworming and so on.
I hope this helps, best of luck with your puppy.
