Shih tzu breathing

Just got a 8 wk shih tzu puppy. When he falls asleep in a deep sleep..it seems he can't breathe..he makes strange noise like deep wheeze and I get so scared like he can't breathe!!

What do I do??

As long as your pup doesn't have any problems breathing while awake, I wouldn't worry too much about this.

Puppies make all sorts of odd noises when they sleep, and they often twitch, shiver and even 'run' in their sleep too. They're just dreaming and it's usually nothing to get concerned about.

If he seems perfectly fine when he's awake chances are he doesn't have any problems. Best of luck with your new pup.
