hello dear,
I have a puppy he's just 3 month old and he's having a hard time breathing it started two days ago. He eats normally and plays too but when he tries to sniff stuff because he's so curious he can't it's like he's nose is blocked or his throat I called the place where I take him to take his shots but they said that if it was an emergency to call the number they gave me, but I don't know if this is an emergency!.
Well anyways even when he sleeps he can't breath through he's nose so he uses he's mouth I think he makes a funny noise. do you think is a cold? should i take him to the emergency? what can I give him to make him breath better? please help me! if you don't answer this soon I'll just take him to the emergency.
Thanks for having such a wonderful site, enjoy life and happy holidays!
Hi Sesshomaru
It sounds as though your pup has an upper respiratory tract infection of some sort, and in young puppies this can become serious fairly quickly. Even with the possibility of turning into pneumonia.
Although your little guy may not be in imminent danger, I would consider this an emergency and if you can't get to see your own veterinarian I'd recommend taking him to a local emergency/24 hour animal clinic.
It's always better to err on the side of caution with puppies. Good luck, hope he's doing much better soon.
