Our shih tzu as been shivering almost nonstop during daylight hours since bringing her home from her last grooming.
She was shaved very short and it is cold outside, but she is inside where it is 65-70 degrees.
Other than that she seems healthy, eating and everything seem normal. any help?
Hi Mike
It could just be that your pup is feeling very stressed since her visit to the groomers. Did anything happen there that could have frightened her badly? Or did she get 'nicked' or anything when they shaved her? Was she sedated or anesthetized? Any of those could have really upset her.
As she's eating, drinking and otherwise seems to be behaving normally, I don't think you need to worry too much just yet. I'm assuming that she was at the groomers today here.
However, if this goes on through the night and into tomorrow I would recommend talking to your vet at the very least. It's possible she's sick, or is running a fever, or she could actually be cold. She's used to being indoors in those temperatures WITH her coat, without it she may need the thermostat turned up a little until she adjusts.
Best of luck, hope she's feeling better soon.
