sick puppy - stomach bug?

I had a 24 hour stomach virus, could i have passed this to my 3lb pug-shi tzu mix puppy? the next day-he is vomiting, lethargic.

To be honest I don't know the answer to this. It's unusual for illnesses to pass between different species, but it can and does happen from time to time.

It's more likely that this is a coincidence, and what is causing your pups' symptoms is unrelated to your stomach bug. BUT, if perhaps you ate the same thing... you gave him some of your sandwich/dinner etc. and the food was bad/tainted, then I guess you could both have got sick.

If your pup isn't doing better by later today, or his diarrhea gets worse, get him seen by a vet quickly. Meantime, make sure he is getting plenty of fluids so that he doesn't become dehydrated.
