hi,
brandi is sleeping a bit more than she was , she still has her mad half hour, but seems a little less lively , is this normal for this breed puppy?
thanks mick.... she's now 16 weeks old and a real good girl .....
Hi Mick
Brandi is growing up beautifully. What a precious girl!
Her being a bit less rambunctious could be normal for her, she's growing up a bit and is less prone to 'puppy-ness'. I think it depends on what the rest of her behavior is like.
If she's eating and drinking normally, isn't vomiting or having diarrhea, and isn't acting 'sick' in any other way, then I wouldn't worry about it.
Puppies are like children, they go through 'phases and stages'. One week they're starving at every meal, the next they don't want to look at their food dish for example.
She's a large breed puppy and will need a reasonable amount of exercise to keep her happy and healthy. Two good walks, or a walk and a few brisk games should be enough. Don't overdo it, large puppies shouldn't run, jump or climb too much until their bones and joints are fully developed.
With puppies it's always better to be safe than sorry, so if still you're concerned it wouldn't hurt to talk to your vet. You might find my Puppy Development page interesting.
Best of luck with her.
