sleepy standard schnauzer puppy

I just got a 10 week puppy and he is lazy to walk and to play and his just laying on the all the time?

what can I do to help him?

Many puppies act this way for the first few days in their new home.

There's a lot of stress for them in leaving their doggie family and coming to live with new people in a new home. This stress can show up as a loss of appetite, being extra sleepy or withdrawn, and if there is a sudden change in diet they may get an upset tummy to boot!

As long as your puppy isn't experiencing repeated diarrhea and/or vomiting, can eat and drink normally and has periods of happy, active play during the day, I wouldn't worry too much yet. Once he starts to feel more at home he will start to come out of his 'shell'.

However, if he shows any signs of illness or disease, such as vomiting/diarrhea, severe lethargy, dull eyes etc., take him to your vet right away.
