Staffy puppy losing fur

My staffy is 16 weeks old now and she is starting to lose fur behind her ears is this serious?

she also hasn't had any injections yet..?

By this age she should be well started on her puppy shots and she is at risk of catching several serious, contagious canine illnesses right now.

However, chances are the hair loss isn't serious in itself but could be an early symptom of Mange. Mange In Dogs is a skin condition caused by tiny mites, and Staffy's are one of the breeds that tend to be prone to developing it.

Your vet can treat it quite easily with shampoos, dips or medication but the sooner you get a diagnosis and get her started on treatment the quicker she will be able to fight it off.

I also strongly recommend getting her puppy vaccinations started! Hope this helps, best of luck.
