Teddy Bear

Nap Time For Teddy Bear

Nap Time For Teddy Bear

My baby boy Teddy Bear (a chow chow/dutch shepard mix) just turned ten weeks old, and he has already been through so much in his short life.

Teddy Bear was born in a high kill shelter in North Carolina. A rescue group in Pennsylvania decided to rescue Teddy and his siblings. Teddy traveled from state to state via other friendly rescue groups for a week, until he finally arrived in his foster home in Albany, New York. When the pups arrived at their foster home they were taken to the vet, and sadly 3 of the 6 pups had parvo-virus. Teddy Bear and his two sisters were the sick pups. The three of them needed to be hospitalized for about a week.

Unfortunately one of Teddy Bear's sisters passed away. It took a couple of weeks of quarantine with his sister to get the virus out of his system. After Teddy Bear got the parvo out of his system he was diagnosed with a parasite. Thankfully this was easily cured.

I am amazed at what Teddy Bear has been through, and he is still the most lovable happy puppy I have ever seen. I have only had him as my baby for a week and a half now, but I can't imagine my life without him.

This is why Teddy Bear is a winner and a survivor.
