took my pup to vets had 1st Vaccination and was wormed, now blood in stools.

Health check done by vet everything ok temp done and heart but has blood in stools today he is still running around being normal pup.

Need some advice as worried.

Hi Shaleen
If your puppy checked out as healthy and he's up to date on all puppy shots, then chances are it's just the dewormer (or stress, a change in diet etc.) that's causing the blood in his stools.

A little blood or mucus in a puppys' stools (in the absence of symptoms of illness such as vomiting, severe diarrhea, lethargy etc.), usually indicates some irritation or inflammation in the colon/bowel. This can be caused by any or all of the things mentioned above.

I expect your pups' stools will return to normal fairly quickly, but if they don't/he develops puppy diarrhea, or shows any signs of illness, then have him examined by your vet quickly.

I hope this helps, best of luck with your puppy.
