We had seven puppies that are about 8 weeks old, out of the seven three of them died. There was one that was sleeping so much and vomiting. He seem to get well but died on me about two hours after i gave him some water. The other two dogs died today, but didn't show any signs like the first dog. The two that died were active, but died the next day.
My other dog that i have seems to be moaning a little like crying for help. I gave him some gatorade, and about five to ten mins he threw it up. So i don't know what to do, what do you think the problem is. I also placed some pancake syrup in his gums, and he threw up about five to ten mins afterwards.
Hi James
These pups are seriously ill and need a veterinarians' help. From the symptoms you describe I would guess that they may have Canine Parvovirus (Parvo) which can literally kill young puppies within 24 hours.
There's nothing you can do yourself without veterinary help, and most pups will die if left untreated. Unfortunately vet care doesn't guarantee their survival either as this is a very aggressive illness, but it does give them a much better chance.
Of course, there are other possibilities for their symptoms as well, including other infectious diseases, ingesting something toxic etc. Only your vet can make a diagnosis and get them the help they need. Please have them examined immediately.
I wish you the very best of luck and hope these little guys make it.
