How far or long should i be walking my 14 week westie pup?
At 14 weeks your pup is still very young, and he's got short legs too. A lot depends on the individual puppy, but I'd recommend two walks of about 15 mins in length each as being about right for now.
Add some daily training sessions and a daily 'playtime' and you should be okay. If it's hot outdoors, reduce the amount of time you're in the sun, and try to schedule your walks during the early morning, or later evening hours when it's cooler. Also make sure your pup has plenty to drink. If your little guy pants or drools a lot, or seems tired, call it a day!
As he grows older and stronger he will be able to do more, but be guided by his body language and reactions as well. Hope this helps, best of luck.
